REGISTRAR TRAINING
RACGP – GP TRAINING
Doctors of Eaglehawk Medical Group have been training GP Registrars for over 17 years. Our supervisors are committed to a high quality training experience and encourage our registrars to become a valuable part of our practice team while they are here.
We work closely with the training body to ensure all training requirements are met and that the registrars enjoy their time at our practice.
Working conditions and remuneration are as per the current National Terms and Conditions.
GP Registrars participate in our after hours roster. On call week nights is generally one night per week and one weekend in six (may be more during leave periods for other Doctors). This is not onerous as there are very few calls. Pro rata for part time registrars
Our local PHN is involved with GP registrars and provides additional CPD activities during the year.
Eaglehawk Medical Group was established in 1994. Our Doctors run their own practice from a purpose built building with five consulting rooms and a fully equipped treatment room.
Our practice has been fully accredited since 1999 and we have just completed our 7th round of accreditation. We keep up to date with all aspects of general practice and our staff have access to continual personal development.
Dr Tali Barrett, Dr Julian Hua are both supervisors of registrars, all the GPs here are happy to provide help to our registrars. Dr Bethany Hough is an educator with RACGP.
Dr Tali Barrett and Dr Rick Duke are two of the original associates, joined by Dr Patrick Duane, Dr Saira Baloch, Dr Julian Hua. and most recently Dr Bethany Hough.
We have a Registered Practice Nurse who takes charge of our Treatment Room. Our three nurses assist Doctors with minor surgeries, ecg’s, wound management and dressings, immunisations, travel vax, ear syringes and all aspects of practice nursing. Our Nurses assist with home health assessments and general clinical triage.
Three receptionists are long term employees, one more recent, but all with a wealth of experience in handling all matters for our patients, and our Practice Manager is happy to share knowledge regarding all aspects of maintaining an efficient medical practice.
